Off to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix

Regular readers will know I love my motor sport and this weekend I will be taking the family to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix. I am really looking forward to trying a Kangaroo TV, this is a handheld devices (based on Linux) that you rent for the weekend that gives you in-car cameras, commentaries and telemetry (read Automated Home’s review for more details). So the the blog will be quite over the weekend but I will be doing updates via Twitter lets hope the British weather holds out and I don’t get to wet!

Hey Ian,

Don't wreck my village when you're here and make sure you leave enough beer for the rest of us :-)

Have fun - the village is already packed with thousands of campers already. Can hear the first open practice going on as I type here in the lounge!

I know you're an F1 fan Ian - have you seen that the Grand Prix is moving to Donington from 2010? It's a great little circuit, and the last F1 race there had a great drive from Senna.

Bit of a shorter drive down the M1 for you, and just down the road from me. But I'd have thought that after so many years hosting F1 that Silverstone would have more facilities than Donington which is going to have to play serious catch up initially.

That device look awesome!

Have a great weekend.

Peter.

thanks all, we had a great weekend and a fantastic result.

I will believe the race is going to Donington when the cars turn up, I love the track but it's not up to Silverstone
