  • How to get Windows Media Center on an Xbox 360

In this ''how to '' video I look at how to extend Windows Media Center to the TV with an Xbox 360. I look how easy it is to connect the Xbox 360 with Windows Media Center so you can get live TV, music, pictures and videos on the TV without having to connect up your PC directly to it All you need is Windows Vista Home Premium or Ultimate Edition ...

  • Re: Divx Movies on Xbox 360

Are there any updates on this?  I just set up my 360 to be an extender and was unpleasantly surprised to see that it didn't support divx files in the MCE interface.  In any case I installed Transcode 360 as Ian suggested but still could not get my 360 to recognize the divx/avi even though it plays fine in Window Media Player on my Vista ...

  • Re: Divx Movies on Xbox 360

Hi, In my opinion divx and other codecs will only be on the extender part of xbox, after the V2 extenders are widely available. Right now people are paying premium for the V2 extenders, and the way to sell those, besides being silent, smaller and consuming less power, (ok, they're wireless too, but I don't believe in wireless extenders too ...

  • MediaRoom in Media Center

Any idea when I can expect MediaRoom IPTV support in Media Center? Receive IPTV on Media Center and then distribute it around the houve over extenders, hummm, sounds great. I saw an interview, where the man being interviewed (from MediaRoom team) said he wanted MediaRom ''in every device with enough transistors to support it'', so I presume is ...

  • How to Boot an Xbox 360 straight in to Media Center

Since the Spring Update for the Xbox 360 you can boot your Xbox 360 directly in to Windows Media Center. To do this go to the dashboard, go to System, Console Settings, Startup and there along with Disc and Xbox Dashboard is the new option, Media Center.  Select that and the Xbox 360 will boot directly in to the Media Center extender ...

  • Re: HP m7775 problems with 360 Extender

Hi there, I have the exact same issue as the orginal poster. Also on a brand new Pavilion - Dutch model 7780 - running Home premium. By trial and error I already noticed that sometime pressing the green buttons helps getting control back. However this doesn always work - sometimes I cant get it out of the freeze at all. Im trying the tips you ...

  • Re: xBOX 360

You can't use the PC for storing save games etc, only media files like music and pictures. Noise is not an issue with my 360, like I have said on the show I am a pc in the room as well and it makes a lot more noise, so go for it!
